Hi, I’m LaQuisha Brown, the heart and mind behind The Mindful Advocate. I’m a Certified K–12 School Counselor, Registered Behavioral Technician, and mental health advocate passionate about creating spaces where healing, growth, and mindfulness meet purpose.

I earned my Psychology degree from Bethune-Cookman University, a certificate in Alcohol and Drug Addiction, and an Education Specialist (Ed.S.) in Counseling from the University of South Carolina. My professional journey has led me through school counseling, behavioral intervention, and recovery work, each experience deepening my belief that mental wellness is a ministry of both compassion and truth.

Through The Mindful Advocate, I aim to bridge the gap between faith and mental health by offering insight, resources, and real conversations about what it means to thrive mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. My goal is to empower others, especially within the Black community, to break stigma, embrace healing, and advocate for their own mental peace.

When I’m not counseling or creating content, you’ll find me spending time with my son, journaling, or finding inspiration in the quiet moments God provides.

Welcome to The Mindful Advocate, where mental health meets mindfulness, and advocacy becomes a way of life.
